Hey Dotties!! It’s Melanie, guest blogger from Lucky + Lovely and I am back with some fun ideas for celebrating birthdays. It’s no secret that the Dots girls love celebrations, especially birthdays. Birthdays are like a person’s special holiday where they get to be king or queen for the day. We love to honor the people in our lives with treats, cards, hugs and balloons. Everyone is included from friends, kids, teachers, coworkers and even the UPS delivery man gets to join in on the fun. Isn’t it great that Facebook helps us keep track of birthdays. It’s the perfect little reminder to say, “go do something nice for a friend”. Of course a sweet cupcake in a box is always the perfect way to say, “Happy Birthday”. In case you need other ideas, I’ve rounded up a few more of our favorite ways to celebrate.
1. GIVE A SWEET BOXED TREAT FROM DOTS
Of course, a cupcake with a candle and sparkly decorations is ALWAYS the first way to celebrate in our book. We have darling decorations and super cute cards to make your gift complete. A dots in a box is a sweet birthday card all wrapped in one. What is your favorite flavor? Mine is red velvet. Yum!
2. DECORATE A COWORKER’S CUBICLE
How fun would it be to go into work on your birthday and be surrounded by balloons, candy, streamers and colorful decorations in your office cubicle? This is really a great way to show a coworker you care. Photo Credit: google images
3. SEND A GREETABL
Greetabl gifts are the perfect customizable gift that is happiness in a box. Each gift is personalized and printed with photos and a greeting that you create. You can add confetti or sweets to the outer box and you chose a pattern that you like. This gift is guaranteed to brighten your loved one’s day, birthday or any day. 4. GET CREATIVE WITH BALLOONS
This is such a cute idea because it only needs helium ballons, and photos. You can print the photos on your home printer of from a local drugstore. I love the Lalalab app because it prints vintage style prints with room to write few memories on them photo credit: Studio DIY
5. DITCH THE STORE BOUGHT CARD AND MAKE YOUR OWN
Now I know we are getting really creative here, but honestly, wouldn’t you love this? Instead of a traditional card, our friends over at Oh Happy Day, share a tutorial on a birthday banner box. Not ready to take the plunge? The Dot’s shoppe has you covered with a selection of unique cards. Photo Credit: Oh Happy Day
So there you have it! My favorite new ways to celebrate birthdays. Which one will you try for your next sweet surprise?
